Fish Species:
Largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, channel catfish, crappie, and hybrid striped bass.
Location:
Walker County Lake is located 3 miles southeast of Jasper off US Highway 78 in Jasper, Alabama. From Jasper US 78 east to Industrial Parkway, take Industrial Parkway south for 2.7 miles to Walker County Public Fishing Lake.

- October 1st-November 25th, 2024 - closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Closed Thanksgiving Day Nov 28th, 2024.
- November 29, 2024 until Dec 22, 2024, open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only
- Closed December 23, 2024 until January 2, 2025

Beginning January 3rd, 2025, open SEVEN days a week UNTIL June 30th

Beginning July 1st 2025, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays until the Sunday before Thanksgiving 2025
SPECIAL TROUT FISHING SEASON
- Trout fishing will begin on Friday November 29th, 2024. Trout will be stocked in the pond. The lake will be available for fishing of native species; Bass, bluegill, etc.

During trout season, you MUST possess a trout permit to fish in the pond. The trout will average 1 to 2lbs in weight with a trout creel limit of 4 per permit.

The trout permit is $5.00. A State of Alabama fishing license is required to fish for the trout. Those in possession of the trout permit are also allowed their regular creel limits in other species.

- Daily Fishing Permit Required in Addition to License for Anglers Age 12 and Older $3.00
- Boat Rental Permit (Daily fishing permit also required) $5.00
- Launch Permit for Personal Boat (Daily fishing permit also required) $3.00
*State Lakes Fishing Licenses are available for purchase at the lake.
