STATUS:
Locally fairly common in winter and spring, and uncommon in late fall in Tennessee Valley region. In other regions, rare in winter, spring, and fall. Lowest Conservation Concern.
HABITAT:
Found on beaches and in open areas with short grass and bare ground, especially plowed fields and fields with stubble.
