Scientific Name: Nuphar luteum
Distinguishing Characteristics:
- Leaves spade-shaped with cleft to center.
- Leaves can be flat on surface, but usually become raised out of the water and pointing up.
- Small, yellow flower appears to not be opened fully; flowers attached to thick stalk just above surface.
