The Alabama Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Management Plan opens avenues of federal funding for the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division to deal with the invasive species that plague Alabama’s abundant waterways.
Recent approval of Alabama’s management plan by the federal ANS Task Force means the state will be eligible for up to $100,000 annually to combat invasive species.
