DeSoto State Park in Fort Payne, Alabama, is hosting a series of native plant walks with naturalist Robert Wilson, “The Traveling Herbalist,” from Seven Pines Survival.
On these easy to moderate meandering hikes, Robert will identify many native plants of the southern Appalachians and will be teaching you how to recognize the natives found in the park.

As with all outdoor events, if it is stormy or very poor trail conditions, the hike may be cancelled. If the weather is questionable, please call ahead to make sure the hike is a go.
