Learn Firearms Safety and Marksmanship!
The 101 series of classes focuses on firearm safety and marksmanship in a low-stress, family-friendly environment. It is perfect for those who want to learn more about firearm safety, handguns, and target shooting in a safe environment with certified firearms instructors.
Handgun 101 - designed for beginners to intermediate shooters. Topics include safe handling and storage of firearms, the parts of semi-automatic handguns and revolvers, marksmanship, and live fire on paper and steel targets.
Rifle 101 - designed for beginners. Topics include safe handling and storage of firearms, the parts of bolt action and semi-automatic rifles, marksmanship, and live fire on paper and steel targets.
Shotgun 101 - designed for beginners to intermediate shooters. Topics include safe handilng and storage of firearms, the types and parts of shotguns, marksmanship and live fire on moving clay targets.
Practical Handgun Skills - Introduces skills that are beyond the scope of handgun 101. Excercises include the use of cover, movement, flashlight techniques and live fire using simunition handguns. (Handgun 101 is a prerequisite)
All firearms and ammunition is provided!
Eye and ear protection,firearms and all the ammunition needed, is provided free of charge. If you already have your own firearms and appropriate ammunition, please feel free to bring it for use in the class.
What you need to participate
You will need a Wildlife Heritage License to participate which can be purchased below, at local probate offices, and at many sporting goods stores.
Note: Participants must be 16 years of age or older.
