National Marina Day promotes the role marinas play as family-friendly gateways to boating. Products and services will be on display to highlight the many pleasurable benefits related to both waterfront and outdoor lifestyles.
National Marina Day, hosted by Wheeler Yacht Club will be held June 8 at Joe Wheeler State Park Marina.
An informed boater is a boater who has the luxury of enjoying many safe, fun filled excursions on the water with family and friends. Let’s join together to grow the boating and fishing lifestyle and get more people out on the water.
Featuring The 1st Annual Larry Mitchell Youth Fishing Rodeo
All proceeds from the fishing rodeo will be donated to a Sr. Lauderdale County School System's Fishing Team Member in the form of a scholarship.
Registration to participate: $5
Registration starts at 8:30am at the Marina Pavilion and Fishing starts at 9am. Anglers may fish anywhere along the banks or docs until 11am EXCEPT gated docs. Weigh-In begins promptly at 11 am at the Marina Pavilion.
