Three Years After Fire, Monte Sano Gets New Office/Store
February 13, 2013
The Monte Sano State Park store is currently undergoing renovations to accommodate its expanded role as the park’s main office and store. The original park office was destroyed by fire in 2010. Since then the store has served as both administrative offices and store. When renovations are complete in May 2013, the combined facility will offer handicap accessible restrooms and sell refreshments, limited groceries and souvenirs.
A temporary park office located across the street from the current store is available for visitors to check in for lodging and day use activities. Restrooms are available at the temporary office.
