Family Pomatiopsidae

Southern Seep Snail Pomatiopsis hinkleyi. Extinct. Historically in a spring at Muscle Shoals. Not collected since impoundment of the Tennessee River. Possibly a form of P. lapidaria. EXTINCT.

Slender Walker Pomatiopsis lapidaria. Common. Widespread in springs of Tennessee River system. Often found on wet rocks adjacent to springs. Lowest Conservation Concern.
