Splinter Hill Bog ComplexLocation: Baldwin County Acreage: 628.04 Splinter Hill Bog Complex is made up of 2 tracts of longleaf pine and bog habitat at the headwaters of the Perdido River. The remainder of the tract was acquired by the State Lands Division through Coastal Impact Assistance Program funds, provided through the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA). Thecomplex will be managed as a nature preserve for habitat conservation, outdoor recreation, scientific research and education to forward the conservation of these rare natural communities.
