Coon Gulf-Glawson TractDate of Purchase: September 13, 2010 Location: Jackson County; T03S, R08E, multiple sections Acreage: 3,225 COON GULF-GLAWSON TRACT in Jackson County consists of 3,225 acres adjoining the TVA Racoon Small Wild Area. The tract is comprised of mountainous and wooded terrain, hosting caves, springs, rocky bluffs as well as riparian forests bordering the Coon Gulf Cove of the Tennessee River. This tract has a pre-existing Conservation Easement recorded on it, which is monitored by partners within the Alabama Land Trust. Links:
