Big channel catfish make kids very happy.

The Southern Association of Black Bass Anglers and Westside Bass Club helped kids catch fish at Lake Lurleen State Park on September 10, 2011

A great group of kids and children enjoyed the event.

Excitement builds each time a catfish is caught.

Biologist Jay Haffner helps this girl be a successful angler.

The event is possible because of the sponsors purchasing catfish and working the event.

This whopper brings a smile to this angler.

Fishing is fun!

Catfish can really pull.

Success brings smiles.

Channel catfish can be caught on a variety of bait including worms, chicken or rooster liver, commercial stick bait, hot dog pieces, raw bacon, and cut fish.

Fishing gives children a great way to interact with adults.
