Bassmaster Elite Series Trail to the Trophy June 5-8, Ingalls Harbor Marina in Decatur The weekend activities include Bassmaster University's "Ask the Experts," an on-site program that gives you the opportunity to learn the latest tips and techniques about the tournament waters the pros are fishing this week. The course consists of an interactive session with Elite Series pro anglers who are ready to give you the low-down on how to fish (or not fish) the lake, a Berkley Beginner's Course and Boat Performance by Skeeter. These and other great activities are in store for you at the Southern Challenge presented by Advance Auto Parts. Boats Launch Daily at 6:00 a.m. On-site activities start Saturday and Sunday at noon. Spend Time This Summer At Gulf State Park Located in the city of Gulf Shores on the coast of Alabama, white sun-kissed beaches, a surging surf, seagulls and seashells greet you at Gulf Resort State Park. Consisting of 6,150 acres with two miles of sugar-white sand beaches, Gulf Resort State Park has modern and primitive camping, cottages, trails and fishing. There is also tennis, group pavilions, an 18-hole golf course, a 900-acre lake for fishing, swimming and water skiing, nature programs and picnic areas. Fishing is fun for kids of all ages. The Community Fishing Program provides quality fishing opportunities for many that do not have such opportunities. Community Fishing Events provide a wonderful opportunity to bring families together to teach youngsters to fish. Other events are provided for disabled or for seniors. Since June 1995, over 439 Community Fishing Events have been held in Alabama for 87,360 participants.
